Malayalam Wiki Community presents KeyMagic packed with Malayalam schemes.
Malayalam wikimedian Junaid implemented schemes for Malayalam. We thank the KeyMagic team (http://code.google.com/p/keymagic/) for developing this great application and making it a Libre software.
For easy distribution and the installation, Junaid packed KeyMagic in an installer with the Malayalam typing schemes. Malayalam typing solutions included in this package are Mozhi and InScript.
Download the software from here or select the file from the list on following URL https://code.google.com/p/naaraayam/downloads/list
You can install the software by following the simple steps given below:
Step 1: Double click the downloaded file. A dialogue box like this will be opened. Click “Run”.
Step 2: Click “Next” here.
Step 3: This is the licence agreement. Read it fully. (Really, read it.. :P). Then select “I accept the agreement” and click “Next”
Step 4: This is the information page about this package. After reading click “Next”
Step 5: Select the location where you want this application to be installed. By default it’ll be “C:\Program Files (x86)\KeyMagic”. If you want, you can click “Browse” and select the desired location and then click “Next” or else just simply click “Next”
Step 6: Give the name for the Start Menu folder. By default it’ll be “KeyMagic”. Click “Next” here.
If you don’t want to create a Start Menu Folder then check “Don’t create a Start Menu Folder” and then click “Next”
Step 7: If you want to create a desktop shortcut, check “Create a desktop icon” and click “Next”
Step 8: Here you can see the summery of the pre-install configuration you have done. Click “Next”
Step 9: Below is the installation progress window.
Step 10: Installation is completed successfully. Click “Finish” and you are done!
The application will run in background. You can see the tray icon.
Now when you want to type in Malayalam, simply press “Ctrl + M”. You can toggle back by pressing “Ctrl + M” again!
